Affiliate Spotlight

Of the 124 Komen Affiliates worldwide, we are proud to have three strong Komen for the Cure Affiliates in Georgia. Each Affiliate holds fundraising events, administers community grants and contributes to research, participates in local education and outreach, and conducts local advocacy. The Affiliates work collaboratively on public policy and other issues.

Nationwide, the Komen Affiliate Network granted over $70 million in community grants last year alone.

In 2007, the Georgia Affiliates invested more than $2 million in local programs that provide early detection and treatment of breast cancer and breast health education and outreach. The Coastal Georgia Affiliate serves Bryan, Bulloch, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long and McIntosh counties.
